Look closer. Have you ever thought about what the world might look like from a bug’s perspective? There’s a whole new world that we don’t always take the time to notice. When you’re an artist, you pay close attention to the details of your work. Can you imagine what the world’s artist knows about detail?
You know what flowers look like in a vase, but have you ever marveled at how beautiful they are when you put your nose into their petals? You’ve seen an apple, but have you ever taken time to examine the seeds or think about its color? God could have painted all the apples red, but he chose to create an array of colors for our enjoyment.
Photography has this amazing way of capturing detail and freezing it. I’m no expert photographer at all, but I like to think I have a good eye and when I want to spend some time getting a little closer, I use this trusty little tool. Have you ever wanted to be able to take professional looking photos but feel like you’re missing the sandwich in your lunchbox when it comes to knowing how?
This handy little tool is called a 3 in 1 lens made by mpow and it can conveniently be attached to your smart phone which in turn does things you could only dream of if you could afford or understand the complexity of an expensive professional camera.
Even the most novice user can use this contraption.
*There are three lenses included in the box.
A Macro lens is used if you are trying to capture something really close up like this flower.
WIDE ANGLE LENS
If you want to, for example, take pictures of a room in your house and you’re trying to capture as much of the room as possible, that’s where the wide angle lens will help you. This is great when you’re taking photos of your home to put it on the market.
Finally, the Fisheye lens is good if you’re trying to distort your image in a creative way. The Fisheye will distort your image by making it appear to curve. While similar to the Wide Angle lens in that it takes a wider imaged photo, it also adds some visual interest. It would be good to use for landscapes, cityscapes, etc.
Just attach the lens of your choice to the holder and slide it over the camera lens on your smart phone. Voila! You can create super photos right on your phone without spending all that money on an expensive camera. You can also fit this tiny box of lenses in your purse, pocket, or backpack and get it out any time creativity or inspiration strike you.
Like when I saw this strange lump of fungus among us…
Or when I was rocking this sweet baby girl and I wanted to freeze the moment.
It’s all in the details, folks. Look a little closer today.
